I recently came up with some alternate logo designs for Cupertino Electric’s volunteer and matching gift program for its employees.
If you have never been to a City Pages’ Iron Fork event, you are missing out. This event includes food samples from over 25 restaurants and has both a chef and bartender competition. Design for this event is extensive and includes print ads, digital ads, large signage, table signage, wristbands, scorecards, vendor badges, a winner plaque, and more.
The Wine & Dine Guide was a bi-annual supplement printed on glossy. In this project I hired a freelance photographer and directed the photo shoot to capture the cover image. I took the RAW files and determined which would work best and retouched it accordingly. I did the copy, logo design, and cover layout as well as the interior layouts. I also designed several of the ads within the publication.
This was our first annual Hounds and Hops event. The event featured several vendors and a doggy fashion show. I created all marketing and promotional collateral for this event.
This was the first time the Super Bowl had been held in Minnesota for a long time, and they were playing in our new U.S. Bank Stadium. At the last minute we decided to produce a supplement that would not only insert into our weekly publication, but also be distributed to several hotels in the Twin Cities area. I secured several price quotes and determined page layouts (ad size, gutter size, etc.) I worked closely with edit in determining page count. I also designed the cover, a large majority of the ads, and laid out the edit. This ended up being a 96 page supplement with 2 inserts, grossing over $100,000.
City Pages has an annual beer fest event which includes live music, food, and, of course, beer! Marketing items needed for this event include print ads, digital ads, rack cards, large signage, vendor badges, a 4-page insert of beer listings and event information, and sampling beer cups.
12 Bars of Christmas (12BOC) is a bar crawl in the Twin Cities that has been going strong for 16 years! During several of the years that City Pages was a sponsor for this event, I helped design the t-shirts that customers ordered for the event. This included a Summer 7 Bar Crawl as well. All designs were 6-color Pantone printing.
This project entailed generating concepts as well as executing the final design. We then used the same graphics to create the t-shirt that our street team members wore when at events.
While working for City Pages, this local pizzeria was in need of a logo design. I created this design which is now on all of their pizza boxes and menus.
I have been volunteering for HSA at my children’s school. Since this year has been completely virtual, I created and manage a YouTube channel, PVEA Art, for our parent-led art program. We included on this art channel the tutorial and instruction videos I created for our Square 1 Art Fundraiser, which was also virtual this year.
